Document Summary

In ancient times, when people don"t know how to write and the alphabet has not been invented yet, the ancients tell stories with oral language. The main topic of these stories was about the origin of the universe and some natural phenomena, such as hurricane and thunder. The way of explaining things by myths and other imaginary stories, which is the foundation of mythos, seemingly reached its limitation since some people no longer believed what they were told. These people decided to seek the truth themselves by collecting and analyzing everything from there observations, which subsequently made the basis for logos. Both mythos and logos stand for story , account of the world. These terms were coined and developed by aristotle (384 322 bce), a greek pre-socratics philosopher. These are two ways of approaching the matter, or a phenomenon, of society. In my opinion, mythos came first when people put their beliefs on fantasy and other product of imagination.
