She states that, in the 1970s, the aim was to promote the cultural mosaic model where canada was conceived of as a place that allowed diferent cultures, ethnic groups, and languages to co-exist in the naion . Ramachandran provides her readers with knowledge on the objecive that the canadian government had when enforcing this act. The signiicance of this act is to simply provide equal treatment amongst all canadians, including aboriginals.
