Tradition: common sense, the way it has always been. Media myths: media is a mirror reflecting back what society is, sociologists see how skewed the media represents society. Well i know someone refutes science because of the experience the person has applied to the world: errors in personal experience: overgeneralization, selective observations, premature closure, halo effect. Overgeneralization: going far beyond what is justified by the data, making generalization about a whole based on a limited sample. Selective observation: picking observations, seeing only certain cases, observation bias.
