We are hoping our generation can put emphasis on dem equality model but we"ll see. Central problems in amer education system are fundamentally political. Fighting among ourselves what the right goals for the system to pursue should be. Democratic equality suggests society cant function unless everyone is equally educated: educ is seen as a public good, preparing ppl for political roles.
