Dsm-5 says symptoms must last for at least 6 months and there must be at least1 month of an acute phase with 1 positive or disordered symptoms: dsm-5 removed subtypes of the disorder. The disorder has a large number of symptoms. Negative symptoms (symptoms lacking in the normal person) Schizophreniforum is a much briefer version of this disorder and must include positive symptoms such as delusions which last at least 1 month with the delusion lasting 1-3 days. In early stages, the hpa axis activity is decreased: believed to also be decreased neuronal connectivity.
