ENGL 2P80 Chapter Notes - Chapter 11: Pandarus
Document Summary
In early scenes cressida is depicted as coy and innocent. Pandarus, he spends the entire time trying to convince her that troilus is a good man for her. Though she does not eagerly express her agreement with her uncle"s judgement, he still brings her to him for troilus to have sex with her. She is treated as an object of exchange which is shown later in the play when she is forced to leave with the greeks with no say in the matter. Cressida draws back when she is first brought to troilus in act 3 scene 2 and though she seems nervous, pandarus still pushes her into the room with troilus. Cressida appears to have a strong understanding of what is going on and though she appears to love troilus, she seems to care more about taking care of herself instead.
