Elite discourses of sex, gender and sexuality: elite discourse: when a discourse emerges from a structural location of power/authority it becomes an elite discourse, dualism: a contrast between two opposing categories. Belief that se(cid:454) (cid:272)a(cid:374) (cid:271)e equated with gender, and then with sexuality has become an elite discourse. Moving outside elite discourses: sex should be seem as a spectrum, when a person does not fall in the normal sex characteristics we label them as intersexed, disorders of sexual development: new term for intersexed. Intrapsychic scripts: reflect the private world of our fantasies and desires.
