There was an artistic revolution in the townships at the end of wwii. The polly street art center helped nurture black visual artists. There was already a rich musical culture across the country - lots of jazz especially. Him and bob gosani went to an illegal bar on morris. A little brick wall and it had a garden as well. The sitting room was cluttered with furniture. When they arrived, the little place was not there anymore. The children of the early sophiatonians (some of them) were still around.
