Call to free the slaves ad share wealth. Us has moved further away from jubilee. Spirit is still alive in some relig orgs, but not in others. Jubilee is like the shabbat on a grand scale. Can take a break from working bc you are providing for everyone. Also need to rest the land to prove that it still belongs to god. Cannot achieve equality unless you accept that no human really owns their wealth--it ultimately belongs 2 god. Jubilee is resting, redistributing, reflecting all in one celebration. Jubilee connects cycles of nature and human life. The biggest action is to not act at all. Release for both the rich and the poor. Idea that there is hope--poverty/charity will not last forever.
