Visible, hard deposit of plaque and dead bacteria that forms at the gum lines. Its build up can alter the fibers that attach the teeth to the gum and eventually disrupt the bone tissue. Bleeding , receding gum lines and formation of pockets bet. teeth and gums. Accumulation of foul matter (food, microorganisms, and epithelial elements) on teeth and gums.
