Being heterosexual is what is statistically normative, but now is morally normative. Homosexual relationships are not right, they are wrong. Who are one"s role models and how should a relationship be played out. Prevalent in 38 states where homosexuality is illegal. We assume that permanence is a good thing, but that is not necessarily the case. Monogamy, long term commitment and living together may not be presumed in homosexual relationships. Social network fragmentation less ability to create social networks surrounding the relationship because of the lack of homosexual acceptability (community, family, etc). They might have to create a family of choice. Sexual orientation is actively demonized; it impacts your identity. Parental adoption and marriage rights: this is a positive shift (displays a rising expectation on equality, attitudes towards same-sex marriage: older people are less likely to be accepting of same-sex marriage.
