Key aspect to effective irs is a joint health and safety committee (jhsc) Workplace hazardous material information system (whmis): a canada-wide system designed to give employers and workers information about hazardous material in the workplace. Unsafe act: a worker"s violation of, or disregard for, a safety rule or procedure. Unsafe conditions: physical hazards or inadequate safety programs, policy, or training that pose a risk to the health and safety of workers.
