Aggression and violence occurs between players and between fans. Know when to back of, near the end of season they don"t want to risk losing it. 2 factors: behavior must be aimed at another human with the goal of inlicing physical harm, reasonable expectaion that the atempt to inlict bodily harm will be successful. 2 kinds of aggression: hosile: primary goal of the injury of another human, make them sufer. More self-jusiicaion: instrumental: intent to harm an individual is present but goal is to realize some external goal (money, victory), aggression is a way to reach the goal. Asseriveness: assert themselves and make their presence felt, use of physical or verbal force to achieve purpose, there is no intent to harm. Legiimacy of aggressive behavior: purposed intent to harm another human should not be considered legiimate, increases with increased age and compeiion level. Relaional aggression: harming others through social ostracism, malicious rumors.
