If at the beginning the researcher has a general focus likely to be semi- structured so that is can address more specific issues. If there is more than one interviewer semi structured to ensure interviewing styles are compatible: multiple case study research needs structure to ensure cost-case comparability. Interview guide should: establish order for flow of questions but allow changes in order. Include questions and topics addressing research questions: use easy language familiar to those being studied, no leading questions. Interview takes place in a quiet and private setting: cultivate traits of a quality interviewer, after the interview, how the interview went.
