Help out disadvantaged groups: disabilities, specific illness, youth, women, etc: can be national or local, can b vary narrow or broad mental health, religion, children, career development, senior. Read like an interest of social concerns, social structure or social conscience. In the needs they express in the provision of an agency to help meet those need clear signs of societies response to these situations. The focus of one organization may be small: womens clinic, being a good role model, breast cancer detection, crisis shelter. Each group makes a demand of the skills that their workers need and challenges them to ongoing development. Unemployment, family issues, delinquency, issues in school systems. One of most trouble development is the prevalence of gangs: by 2000 every state reported gang activity, no longer restricted to large cities. Our penal institutions are not geared towards rehab.
