Boomers were born between approximately 1946 to 1965. From about 1985 through 2005, boomers made up more than 0% of canadians in the primary work-force age range of 25-64. Today"s ge(cid:374)eratio(cid:374) are (cid:374)o differe(cid:374)t fro(cid:373) pre(cid:448)ious ge(cid:374)eratio(cid:374)s i(cid:374) the i(cid:373)porta(cid:374)(cid:272)e they give to friendship. What makes them radically more different is that they possess more ways of experiencing friendship than any new generation in history. The most important things to young people are 2 features: friendship and freedom. Those 2 valued goals are followed fairly closely by the 3 highly interrelated values of a comfortable life, a good education and success. Teens, led by females, see education as playing a pivotal role in making it all possible. Family life is also highly valued by teens, more so by females than males. Excitement is highly valued by about the same proportion and by close to an equal number of males and females; teens want to have fun.
