Class conflict has always existed and always with the oppressed and oppressor slave-owner. These stages lead to one another because they become deficient. Marx says we should abandon history because it shows us how we"ve been oppressed. The communist is an idealist ally of the proletariat role is to inform the lower class of their own oppression: Promote class consciousness show inequality, the relevant distinction is class. Communists are leaders of workers unions/movements localised acts of resistance leads to awareness of the systems. Communists can be bourgeoisie who realise they are the oppressor. The role of communists is similar to role of the legislator in rousseau.
