It covers five categories: appearance and behaviour: general appearance, posture, and facial expressions, thought processes: listening to a patient can give you a good idea of their thought processes. Some to look out for include delusions of persecution: someone thinks people are after them all the time. Ideas of reference: everything everyone does relates back to them. Hallucinations: things a person sees or hears but aren"t really there: mood & affect: mood is the predominant feeling state of the individual and affect is the feeling state that accompanies what we say at any given time.
