Technical communication: the communication of scienti c or technical information, purpose: to inform, educate or occasionally persuade. Risk communication comes in many forms: care communication: communication about risks for which the danger and the way to manage it has already been well determined through scienti c research that is accepted by most of the audience. Generally, those charged with communicating have little return on investment other than the betterment of human lives. Also a subset of stakeholder participation, which encourages all those with an interest in how the risk is managed to be involved in consensus building. Tuesday, february 24, 2015: crisis communication: risk communication in the face of extreme, sudden danger and can include communication both during and after the emergency. Risk communication can also be divided topically: environmental communication, safety communication, health communication. The process begins with a hazard, a potential or actual danger to the environment or human health or safety.
