Ta theory of counseling is a statement describing the human personality. People have the potential to regain their royal status, providing they learned and applied the lessons of ta to their personal lives. Early years: before they enter school, they form their basic life script and develop a sense of being. They also arrive at conclusions about other peoples ok- ness. The childs ego state evolves with the early experiences, emotions, intuitions, inquisitiveness, and the capacity for joy and shame. All people are born with a natural child who is spontaneous dependent, and lovable. The adapted child on the other hand is inhibited, well- behaved, socialized, conforming, and sometimes self- critical. Free child tendencies are spontaneity and intuitiveness like the natural child as well as playfulness and joy. The little professor portends the adult ego state which can be curious but also rigid and didactic.
