Document Summary
A couple have a goose that lays golden eggs. They kill the goose to see if it"s made of gold inside, but it is just a normal goose, so they have no more gold. Moral of the story: having more means wanting more and losing all. A crow sits in a tree eating cheese, a fox from below wants it. The fox flatters the crow and asks it to sing. When she does, she drops the cheese and the fox eats it. Moral of the story: be careful with flattery. A man and lion argue about who is stronger while on a journey. They come across a sculpture of a man strangling a lion and the human uses it as proof that he is stronger. The lion tells him, if lions could make sculptures, the human would be on the bottom.
