What is geography: writing about land, an explanation and description of places, land, and people outside individual experience. Sets boundaries for people"s life prospects and this conception allocates simply to nations and regions. Geography as discipline: experience leads to the realization of consciousness and regional identity, people have always been interested in foreign lands and distant places. Regional identity: individuals" connection with a place or region and their feeling of fitting to a collectivity. Regional consciousness: association with a region or a place incorporating the strong sensation of fitting into that area and keenness to promote regional welfares. What is regional geography: relationship between human and physical geography, understanding of human civilization. Region: a range of earth"s surface outlined by its unique human and/or natural environmental features. Borders between regions often are changeover zone where the main features of one region blends into those of a neighboring region. Geographers use the conception of regions to learn segments of the earth.
