Judge agreed that an occupier is entitled to personal property if it is found in an area over which the occupier had a manifest intention to exercise control. Item was discovered on the floor of a publicly accessible waiting area so they paid parker. Cannot acquire personal property while trespassing, finder has substantial rights but may be required to make a reasonable effort to locate the true owner and preserve the goods. Lose rights is property is destroyed, lost, stolen, or abandoned with the intention of giving up control, can also be lost if the personal property becomes attached to or mixed with land or other chattels. Purpose of attachment: whether a reasonable person would believe that property became part of the building.
