Cq is made up of 3 components: Cq requires knowledge of culture and of the fundamental principles of cross-cultural interactions. This means: knowing what culture is, how cultures vary, and how culture affects behaviour. Foundation of cq because it forms the basis for comprehending and decoding the behaviour of ourselves and others. Recognizing the existence of other cultures and defining the nature of that difference. Knowledge of cultural identities, values, attitudes, and practices makes for greater predictability and more accurate attributions. This type of knowledge allows mapping one"s self onto the terrain of the new culture. Knowledge of the processes through which cultural variation affects behaviours.
