Importance of effective interpersonal and organization wide communication: Communication : the process by which information is exchanged between a sender and a receiver with the goal of reaching mutual understanding. Telework (telecommuting: a work arrangement whereby an individual employee works from the home, a satellite office, or mobile office with a computer connection to the main office. Managers with the most effective work units engage in frequent communication with their employees, and have the highest promotion rates engaged in networking activities with superiors. Effective communication is the key foundation for human relationships both at work and outside of work. Message: the thoughts and feelings that the communicator is attempting to elicit in the receiver. Feedback: any information that people receive about their behaviour or performance, its effect on others, or comparison to a standard or expectation. All elements of communications that do not invole workd. Kinesics: the study of body movements, including posture.
