Selection begins when a pool of applicants has submitted their resumes or completed application forms as a result of the recruiting process. More managers have realized that the quality of the company"s human resources is often the single most important factor in deterring whether the rm is going to survive and be successful. When a poor selection is made and the individual selected for the job is not capable, strategic objectives will not be met.
