Communicaion is the means through which drives and needs are fulilled. Efecive communicaion depends on the ability of sender and receiver to eiciently and accurately encode and decode informaion. If the sender and receiver have similar codebooks, senders encoding proiciency, moivaion and ability, and shared mental models of communicaion help increase efecive communicaion: similar codebooks. Codebooks are dicionaries of symbols, language, gestures, idioms, and other tools used to convey informaion.
