Temperature regulation: allows heat dissipation through sweat glands and heat storage through subcutaneous insulation. Communication: emotinos expressed on face and body posteure, vascular mechanisms ie: blushing, blanching signal emotional states. Wound repair: allowing skin cell replacement on surface wounds. Absorption and excretion: excrete metabolic waste, by products of cell decom pie: minerals, sugars, amino acids, cholesterol, uric acid and urea.
