Can be taken from one individual or many. Information gathered from tasks, and peoples performance on these tasks. Ex. determine peoples emotions based on a short story. Limitations, not everything is conscious so people arent aware of everything so they cant answer to their best of their ability. Some data does not fit in the lots data selection. Fixed: exactly the same, remains the same and consistent, ex. test items. Limitations: may only be good for certain individuals. Some features of your personality is not shown on the test. Aka as nomothetic - search for scientific laws that apply, in a fixed manner to everyone. Flexible: give not the exact answers as everyone else.
