The biggest concern regarding large transnaional corporaions is their sheer global power. The disappearance of free enterprise in whole sectors of the economy may actually lead to higher prices. The major transformaion of work occurred during the period we now refer to as the. New technologies and factories changed the way workers produced, as they were brought together into large producive units that were non kin-based. Scieniic management , or taylorism had an aim to increase managerial control over the worker with the goal of maximizing worker output. Fordism refers to the period of capitalist development marked by intensive producion, maximum use of machinery, and complex divisions of labour. As the economy expanded during this period, jobs were unionized, providing good wages and reasonable job security.
