Document Summary

An observational learning experiment: children observe an adult model who either physically verbally abuse large inflated doll or sat quietly and ignored the doll, each child was observed alone aggressive acts. Without seeing the adult being rewarded child still reproduced the: frustration did increase amount of aggression but it was in children who had seen the aggressive adults, when adults were rewarded more imitation o. Imitation was greatly inhibited when children saw model being punished. Selecting important aspects of witnessed behavior and thinking about them reproducing them later. The new reinforcement principle: reinforcement increases the probability of behavior, overt reinforcement isn"t necessary to new learning, observing child anticipates the reinforcement he will receive for imitating a modeled act self-reinforcement. Determinism: kurt lewin b=f(p,e, behavior is function of both person and environment, change the attributes of person or situation behavior will be different, person-situation interaction unidirectional.
