- Global economic exploitation - Not enough trade - Low-income-food-deficit countries: do not produce enough food to feed their populations. Two perspectives: 1. Trade is the main cause of food inefficiency 2. These countries need GM, more efficient practices, which will come from trade Common idea comes from trade - Food for work or food for education (project-based methods) - US: food for prosperity, food for peace.
