Attraction similarity hypothesis: holds that people develop romantic relationships with those who are similar to themselves on physical attractiveness and other traits, we go for people of same race, age, education etc. Men more likely than women to communicate positive feelings and present themselves in a positive light when talking to someone equally as hot as them: proves physical attractiveness is more important to men. Propinquity: relationships are made in the neighbourhood not heaven, we live among those with similar backgrounds to ours why we go for those with same ethnic backgrounds. Women love similarities more than men: we like when they share our attitudes etc. When we feel admired we return these feelings back to the person. Physical attractiveness: how important is it to look good. Might never get to know someone if we aren"t initially attracted to them. Jamaican women prefer more masculine faces than british people.
