There were a number of changes to the access to information act (ati) (set out in the federal. Many of the key reforms, which the government had promised to enact, failed to find their way into the. The changes to the ati are concerning as well because they add institutions to the coverage of the act, but they do little to increase public access to information held by the newly added entities. The decision to make this special report to parliament resulted from a number of factors: the government has announced its intention to fast-track consideration of the federal.
