Climate change is the most pressing issue facing humans int eh 21st century. Using proper communication is necessary to get behaviour change. There are four approaches to changing the publics behaviour on a large scale. Technological - the right technology has to be put in place for them to o change (e. g. alternatives to gas for them to stop using it. Or more garbage cans for them to stop littering) Legal - focus on policy change by getting the laws right. Economic - focuses on taxes and pricing by making the right thing to o o do cheaper and the wrong thing to do more expensive. Rasing awareness - focuses on information by educating everybody o. A problem with the first three is that you would need support from other people to do them. The raising awareness approach will change peoples beliefs upon which attitudes are based, which means you have to give people information.
