Random patrol is also known as the watch system is that just the mere presence and visibility of patrol cars serve as a deterrent to crime and at the same time make citizens feel safer. However crimes seem to be unaffected by the amounts of patrol cars, quicker responses by officers or the number of arrests made by patrol officers. A model of police work that incorporates the key principles of community policing with crime prevention, crime response and crime attack approaches. A strategy designed to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of police services while holding police personnel accountable for achieving crime reduction objectives. Crime data is analyzed to see where crimes are being committed and who is committing the crimes.
