Regulate behaviour effectively rel"ship w/ others and emotional self-regulation. Supportive parenting warmth, proactive teaching, calm discussion during disciplinary episodes, interest/involvement in child"s peer activities. Children show better adjustment and are better protected from consequences of later adversity.
