Peter is the bridge builder between medical science and ecology, founding modern bioethics. Bioethics also embraces issues of public policy and the direction and control of science. Bioethics became a novel and distinct field of inquiry. In the 1960, bioethics was institutionalized through research institutions, major ones being; the. Institute for society, ethics, and the life science (present: hastings centre) and the kennedy. The belief in the 1960s was that philosophy deals with the analysis of moral terms rather than with practical issues. It was at this time that religion played a key role in bioethics, with guidelines related to faith and the basic foundation is god (code of conduct). 1971: the notion of bioethics appeared in the name of the kennedy institute as bio- medical ethics . 1971: first used by potter in his book (bioethics - bridge for the future) 1954: fletcher used the term in his book (morals and medicine), the first modern work of bioethics.
