Characteristics of a city (as the chicago school did) (pg 29) Argued that his perspectives were liberal in the idea that they would recognize problems, but use existing social mechanisms to solve them. Harvey also discusses the idea that the private property system encourages some people to have property while not allowing others to have it (eg. poor people can"t always buy their own houses) Myth: a narrative about that world that is not completely untrue, but it resonates w/ and supports particular interests over others (pg 31)
