Social norms: (usually unwritten) guidelines for how we behave in social contexts. Since social pressures are so powerful and go unnoticed, there emerges a variety of group dynamics unique to groups: group dynamics: social loafing and social facilitation. Social loafing: when an individual puts less effort into working on a task with others. Factors: low efficacy beliefs, believing that one"s contributions aren"t important to the group, not caring about the group"s outcome.
