Countries with strong gender norms, extra pressure on men to avoid treatment because contradicts the idea of being strong . Real me, real depression campaign to combat these ideas of men not needing help. Two main barriers to mental health treatment: access, whether people can afford it and if they have the time. Community mental health centres often provide therapy on a sliding scale, changing the cost of sessions based on patients income and insurance status. Some cases people are required to enter the mental health system against their will.
