Morphology is involved with the structure of a word and its function. Syntax is how the order of word is related to how meaningful it is. The construction of proper word order: prerequisite for language development. Cause and effect: the action of the child can illicit reaction from the people around them. Reciprocity: the action and communication that the child conveys, they can expect reply from the recipient. Symbolic understanding: the child must understand that the wolrd is represented through symbols and if they want to get their idea cross they need to articulate the world into those symbols. Memory: memory is important in that a child must be able to retrieve and transmit information stored in the brain. Sound: a child must be able to make different sounds that vary in rhythm, also must be able to produce speech sound that symbolizes something.
