Small amounts are found in vinegar and cough syrups: the amount of alcohol in a beverage is labeled in two ways : by percentage and by proof (% alcohol and proof of alcohol) Percentage alcohol refers to the number of grams of alcohol found in 100ml of solution e. g. 50g of alcohol in 100ml= 50%
