Recent business school graduates (mbas) due to lack of coordination and communication skills. Who consistently performs well? elementary school kids because they always test it/ prototype it. Lesson 2: diverse skills have impact: (communication and coordination is important) Higher: ceos, kindergarten, ceos & executives, architects & engineers after adding admins to ceo team they improve more because admin is good at getting people on the same page and coordinate together. Lesson 3: high monetary performance tends to decrease intrinsic motivation and thus creativity. Average team performance; then given high monetary incentive; performance decreases. From half teams built a tower to no teams built it. 4 months later, conducted experiment again, o ered same group and same incentive > performance increased because they had the previous experience and combined with monetary compensation they could perform better. Group exert in uence on us (social mechanism by which we acquire beliefs)
