Strategy that stems from prior experiences and provide an educated guess as to what is the most likely solution. An intuitive approach to the previous example would be to think about previous places you may have lost your phone before and using those past experiences to guide your search. People tend to place limitations on tasks, even though those limits are not necessarily part of the rules of accomplishing the task.
