Personality disorders: unusual patterns of behaviour that are maladaptive, distressing to oneself or others, and resistant to change. Dsm-5 identifies 10 distinct personality disorders, which are categorized into 3 different clusters (shared features): Cluster b: dramatic, emotional and erratic behavior (antisocial personality disorder) Cluster c: anxious, fearful and inhibited behavior (ocd) Characterized by intense extremes between positive and negative emotions, an unstable sense of self, impulsivity and difficult social relationships. They fall in love quickly but are also highly fearful of abandonment. Inflated sense of self-importance and an excessive need for attention and admiration. Comes with intense self-doubt and fear of abandonment. Dissociative disorder: split between conscious awareness from feeling, cognition, memory and identity. Dissociative fugue: no recollection of their past, develop new identity in a new location.
