Brand was simply a name and logo that enabled consumers to recognize the product as having those particular qualities. With the emergence of mass production, began to regularly purchase products from producers and places they didn"t know. Manufacturers were looking for ways to make their products known and desired by the larger markets early mass media entrepreneurs were looking for ways to generate revenue. Mass media makes content, but content isn"t the product, rather part of producing the final product- audiences: mass media produce and sell audiences to advertisers, sell audience attention, content is the device that captures our attention.
