In psychoanalysis, dream analysis and free associaion are used to explore the unconscious. When an analyst"s interpretaions touch on sensiive issues, resistance can be expected. The transference relaionship may be used to overcome resistance and promote insight. According to carl rogers, neuroic anxieies are due to incongruence between one"s self-concept and reality. Rogers maintained that the process of therapy is not as crucial as the therapeuic climate. To create a healthy climate therapists must be genuine, and provide uncondiional posiive regard and empathy. The key process at work in client-centred therapy is the clariicaion of clients" feelings. Posiive psychotherapy atempts to get clients to recognize their strengths, appreciate their blessings, savour posiive experiences and ind meaning in their lives. Most insight therapies can be conducted on a group basis, which involves the simultaneous treatment of several clients.
