We construct our social reality: humans have the urge to explain behaviour, we attribute behaviour to personality, our beliefs about ourselves influence our emotions and actions. Ie. how bad will it feel to lose a hand a year from now: we mispredict our own future. Ie. middle-aged women buying snug clothing in hopes to lose weight: social intuitions. Ie. people liked donald trump because his quick answers made him seem truthful. Social influences shape our behaviour: humans are social animals, the power of a social situation leads us to act differently from what we believe.
