Concepts to recall:
Discrete variable:
-variable that can only take on a limited number of values
Continuous variable:
-infinite number of values between the lowest and highest values
-continuum
-temperature
Frequency distribution:
-a plot showing the values of the dependent variable on the x axis and their frequency on the Y
axis
x̅ = mean
s = variance
sigma = summation of what follows
N = number of observations
-no general agreement as to the meaning of the word probability
